This short journey through Rishikesh, Bikaner and Gangtok with the ups and downs, the missed trains and taxi rides, the heartbreak and the mending of old friendships, the quarrels and self-discovery, sweeps Jaya and Yogi away, and indeed us...。退休教师齐大妈丧偶多年，她的所有心思全用在外孙女婷婷身上。不料女儿女婿突然离婚，而能歌善舞的外孙女婷婷也因意外失聪。女儿离家出走，女婿再婚，面对种种困境，齐大妈义无反顾肩负起照顾婷婷的重担。婷婷的父亲赢得抚养权，爷爷奶奶也从乡下赶来。齐大妈不舍孩子，只好隐瞒身份以保姆的身份进入前女婿家中。齐大妈忍辱负重一切为了婷婷，没想到却遭到所有人的误解；好不容易以自己的诚心和坚韧赢得了大家的理解，却突然病倒，医生诊断她患上老年痴呆。齐大妈并没有就此倒下，她在剩下有限的时间里帮助婷婷彻底摆脱失聪留下的阴影，同时也帮助婷婷重建与父母和爷爷奶奶的亲情。。
