在同一幢商厦中，九楼与十九楼分别为两家互相竞争的广告公司。一日，九楼的一位老客户咬着半支雪茄踏进此商厦却误到十九楼签下合约。突然此老翁心脏病发暴毙。十九楼的雇员欲嫁祸九楼把尸首搬到九楼，九楼各人原应与老翁签约，见到老翁开心不已。但当发现其已死后，想将尸首搬上十九楼。加上两名笨贼加入此混局，弄得大家忙得不可开交。。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
