本剧讲述了民国初年一位歌女的坎坷遭遇。歌女明月自小跟随师傅、师母以卖唱为生。师傅垂涎她的美色，师母又经常将她虐待。后来，在手车夫的协助下，她逃离了师傅、师母的魔掌，还认识了一位梨园前辈，跟随学艺，不久便在歌坛走红。这时，她爱上了一名富家子弟，不惜为他放弃事业，离开歌坛，与他同居。可惜富家子弟并未对他付出真心，狠心的抛弃了她。饱受挫折的明月只好复出歌坛。在明月感情遭受打击时，手车夫的出现重新唤起了她心中的爱情，可惜这纯真的爱情又屡遭阻拦...。一群关系紧密的朋友在多年分离后重聚在一起，探讨着复杂的抱负、人际关系以及时间是如何改变他们的。。Ji-hun needs money to enroll for his last semester.
