本片借两对男女互相间的滥情、妒忌和背叛来制造笑料。流浪汉布杜被一个好心的书商从塞纳河中救起并收留，书商的太太和女佣对好吃懒做的布杜非常厌恶，流浪汉非但不感恩戴德，还勾引书商的太太和女仆，把他家搞得鸡犬不宁。偏偏书商本身也与女佣有染，这两对男女的爱情烂账，终于决定要用一场婚宴来解决。。《棋士》以世纪初的南方城市为背景，讲述了一个普通的围棋老师崔业因一场意外卷入罪案，逐步走向犯罪，被身为警察的哥哥崔伟穷追不舍，兄弟二人黑白殊途的故事。。Through this film our aim is to promote the fascinating personality of Nikos Kazantzakis, as well as the enchanting scenery of Greece that molded him into the man he became.
